Procrastionation Part B

To help me with procrastination ill need to:
1. commit myself to completing a task that is given.
2. eliminate distractions
3. take breaks in between tasks so that I dont go crazy.
4. set reasonable standards that i can meet.
5. find a comfortable place to complete my work.

Note Taking Part A

1. Write quickly so you dont miss anything.
2. Use abbreviated words
3.Rewrite your notes in a revised form.
4. Read everything that you need to before class.
5. Write questions for yourself if you need to.
6. Go back and answer those questions when you revise your otes later.
7. Bring everything that you might need to class everyday.
8. Keep focused on what the teacher is talking about.
9. Look for "signal statements" from your teacher to tell if the next thing that they say is going to be important.
10. Include everything in your notes that the teacher writes down.

Getting Started

There are many things that I need to do to be prepared for class. I can deal with being prepared and getting to class on time, stuff like that. One thing that I know I need improvement on is getting started with my work. Sometimes I have problems with this. I would say that I am a procrastinator for a lot of things and classwork is one of them. Classwork and projects are some of the things that I'm not so eager to get started on. There will be some times where I can get started with no problem, more often than not I seem to either be confused of don't feel like doing anything at the moment. Lately this problem hasn't really occured and its fine. I chose this skill because I believe that I need improvement in this area and I feel that soon it wont be a problem at all.
